The Hays County Local Health Department reports 90 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 46 recoveries March 15, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 16,758, total active cases to 490 and recoveries to 16,036. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 925.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 160, 108 and 109 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 136,572. The total number of hospitalizations is 767 and total current hospitalizations is 10 after three people were hospitalized and two were discharged. The total number of fatalities in the county is 232.
