Texas State ceramics alumna Kiana Valtierra sets up her booth, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the San Marcos Farmers Market.

Kiana Valtierra and Mikayla McDonough both graduated from TXST in 2022 with degrees in ceramics. These girls were able to take their art and make a profit from it. Kiana and Mikayla both operate their own small businesses where they sell their homemade art online, and in markets around San Marcos. Kiana’s company is called Kirc Studio, and Mikayla’s is Catnip Studio. Both girls find their businesses to be rather successful. They both expressed their gratitude for the growing community of people that support them and their businesses.
