On Oct. 19 2021, The University Star hosted “Star Stories: True Stories of Life at TXST,” a live event featuring true personal narratives from four amazing storytellers that reveal the greatest challenges and opportunities of the Texas State and San Marcos communities.
The goal of the event was to open dialogue among diverse groups while assigning value to first-person narratives.
About the storytellers:
Dr. Claude Bonazzo-Romaguera is a junior lecturer in Texas State’s Department of Sociology.
Rodolfo Vega is a criminal justice senior and a member of Texas State’s mariachi group.
Kiarra Regalado is a public relations junior minoring in business administration and is Texas State’s Bumble Campus Director, Victoria’s Secret PINK Campus Rep, Maybelline Campus Ambassador and Kendra Scott Campus Gem.
Daniel West is a developmental education graduate student at Texas State. West intends to pursue his doctoral degree in spring 2022.
