Hays County reports 30 new COVID-19 cases, 31 recoveries

The Hays County Health Department reports 30 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 31 recoveries Sept. 11, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,598, active cases to 1,914 and recoveries to 3,633.
Kyle, San Marcos and Buda have 756, 716 and 309 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 25,662 with 23 tests still pending. The total number of hospitalizations is 158 and total current hospitalizations is 8. There have been 51 fatalities in the county.
