Hays County reports 34 new COVID-19 cases, 69 recoveries

Hays County COVID-19 Update

The Hays County Health Department reports 34 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 69 recoveries Sept. 9, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,560, active cases to 1,953 and recoveries to 3,556.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 735, 765 and 316 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 25,517 with 34 tests still pending. The total number of hospitalizations is 158 and total current hospitalizations is 13 after three patients were discharged. There have been 51 fatalities in the county.
