Alexandria Hatcher has been appointed to assistant director for the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Title IX coordinator, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

Hatcher will be taking over for Kendra Wesson, who served on an interim basis. Hatcher served in the capacity of deputy Title IX coordinator here at Texas State.

Ameerah McBride, former chief diversity officer, director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Title IX coordinator, resigned Nov. 30, 2019. She held the position for a little over a year.

Prior to the appointment, Hatcher was the equity institutional investigator for the University of Texas at Austin. Her experience also includes conducting investigations related to Title VI, Title VII and Title IX.
