Texas State claimed the series over Georgia State on Sunday afternoon with a 12-2 win over Georgia State at Bobcat Ballpark.

The win improved the Bobcats to 17-7 in conference and 33-15 overall, ranking the team at first in conference with a secured spot in the Sun Belt Championship Tournament.

Connor Reich picked up the win after pitching for six innings, giving up only two runs on eight hits.

Dalton Shuffield and John Wuthrich both went 3-for-5 at the plate, with Wuthrich scoring a game-high three runs with 2 RBIs.

Along with Wuthrich, Trayvon Benton, Jaylen Hubbard and Ryan Newman brought in a home run for the Bobcats.

Texas State run ruled Georgia State in the eighth inning, marking the third time this season that the Bobcats have run-ruled an opponent on getaway day.

Texas State will hope to take a second win from Texas this season as they play their final midweek game Tuesday afternoon in Austin.
