Hays County COVID-19 Update
The Hays County Health Department reports 22 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 52 recoveries Sept. 17, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,719, active cases to 1,789 and recoveries to 3,878.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 638, 728 and 294 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 25,920 with 0 pending tests. The total number of hospitalizations is 165 and total current hospitalizations is 12. There have been 52 fatalities in the county.
