Texas State announces 2020-21 women’s basketball non-conference schedule

Texas State announced the women’s basketball non-conference schedule for the 2020-21 season Nov. 10. 

The Bobcats will play seven non-conference games beginning Nov. 28. The first five games will be played away, followed by two home games.

Non-conference schedule:

  • Nov. 28- University of New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Dec. 3- Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas

  • Dec. 9- University of The Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas

  • Dec. 13- University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma

  • Dec. 16- Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Corpus Christi, Texas

  • Dec. 19- Lamar University, San Marcos, Texas

  • Dec. 21- Morgan State University, San Marcos, Texas

The Bobcats will begin the season against New Orleans Nov. 28, almost one year after defeating the Privateers 51-49 Nov. 27, 2019.

Texas State will play SMU Dec. 3 for the first time since losing 64-56 to the Mustangs in 2016.

The Bobcats will play Incarnate Word Dec. 9 and are 2-0 all-time against the Cardinals, winning the last game 75-33 in 2017.

Texas State will face off against the Oklahoma Sooners for the first time since 2004 Dec. 13.

The Bobcats are on a two-game win streak against TAMU-CC and will look to extend that streak Dec. 16.

Texas State will play its first home game Dec. 19 against Lamar. The Bobcats are 7-7 all-time against the Cardinals, last playing in 2014 where Texas State won 79-72.

The final non-conference game will be played at home against Morgan State. This will be the first-ever game between the two teams.

Texas State will begin Sun Belt Conference play Jan. 1 against the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
