Texas State softball will take a short trip up north on Feb. 24 to Austin, Texas as the Maroon and Gold will take on the No. 7 University of Texas Longhorns, according to a Feb. 22 statement by the university.
Texas State is 2-0 as the team is coming off a two-game sweep against Abilene Christian in its opening series, scoring six runs in each game.
The contest is scheduled for 5 p.m. at McCombs Field and will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network
