Texas State Women’s basketball team was able to pull out a tough victory against the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks with a final score of 62-51.
With this win on the road, the team has now won three consecutive games after previously losing four straight. Despite a close first half, the Bobcats were able to run away the game in the 3rd quarter as they went on a key 11-0 run.
The Bobcats limited their turnovers (9) and shot efficiently from the field as a team. Toshua Leavitt led the team in scoring on the day scoring 16 points while shooting 4-10 from behind the arc.
Jazza Johns and Bailey Holle were also very efficient scoring 14 points apiece. The Bobcats will look to continue this winning streak Saturday against Louisiana at 2:00 P.M.
