The Texas State women’s basketball team fell to Troy by a score of 82-63 in the annual Kids Game. This loss snapped a five-game win streak for the Bobcats as they fell to 13-15, 8-8 in the Sun Belt.
Kennedy Taylor led the way for the Bobcats with 16 points on 4-7 shooting and 7-10 from the line. Brooke Holle also added 10 points on 5-10 shooting from the floor.
Toshua Leavitt and Jazza Johns were the final Bobcats to scores in double figures with 11 each.
Troy went into the half with a 45-35 lead. The Bobcats cut the lead down to six late in the third quarter before giving up a big run.
Troy outscored Texas State 22-12 in the 4th quarter. Troy shot 13-26 from three in the game.
The Bobcats return to Strahan Arena 2 p.m. Saturday to take on South Alabama for one of their final two home games.
